So, “wassail” the fuss about?

Posted in: Company News by thecatbywas on January 5, 2012 | No Comments

The 12th night of Christmas – It’s more than just a Christmas carol or a play by William Shakespeare! The twelve nights of Christmas start on Christmas day and run through the 5th of January, all leading up to Epiphany on the 6th.

Food and drink are the center of the celebration on the 12th night, when family and friends would gather together and toast to good health and a prosperous year with a traditional hot apple cider called “Wassail”. Hence the song “Here we come a wassailing”. So if you had ever wondered (As some of us at the shop had) just what the 12 days of Christmas were, and what exactly you had to do to “Come a wassailing”, now you know.

Learn more at the links below, then gather with your friends and family at Leopold’s to enjoy our delicious, cozy version of Wassail, Mary’s own Hot Spiced Apple Cider.

It’s warm and cozy time!

Posted in: Company News by thecatbywas on November 28, 2011 | No Comments

It’s that time of year again. Warm gatherings with friends. Cozy moments with loved ones. Making fun and lasting memories for the years to come.

We have our own traditions for the winter seasons, too. Like made-to-order hot cocoa – with real whipped cream or marshmallows. Soon it will be time to heat up with Mary Leopold’s own hot apple cider, boasting a perfect balance of sweet and spice. And, of course, we always have perfectly brewed cappuccinos and lattes…

Of course, our hot drinks are even better with a scoop of our homemade ice cream in our Cocoa Leopold or Caffe Leopold! Sure to hit the spot in any weather.

We also serve food all day! Nothing will heat you up from the inside out like a wholesome bowl of our fresh-made soup.

This Holiday, treat yourself to “Good Things to Eat, Good Things to Drink.”
